Hosting and domains

Live on a link the moment you publish, then on your own domain.

Publishing gives your app a public link straight away. Add your own domain, create one DNS record, and a certificate is issued on the first HTTPS visit. The preview keeps changing while you work; the published app only changes when you publish again.

How to go live on your domain

  1. 1

Publish once, from your agent, the CLI (appbricx deploy --subdomain) or the builder. The app is live at https://<subdomain>.apps.appbricx.com.

  2. 2

Open Settings, Custom Domain, add a hostname such as book.example.com and create the DNS record it shows, usually a CNAME to sites.appbricx.com.

  3. 3

Click Verify when DNS has updated. A certificate is issued on the first HTTPS visit. Apex domains use an A record or an ALIAS.

terminal
$ appbricx deploy --subdomain stillwater
✓ deployed: https://stillwater.apps.appbricx.com (live)

# DNS at your registrar
book.stillwater.studio. CNAME sites.appbricx.com.

$ dig +short CNAME book.stillwater.studio
sites.appbricx.com.
# Settings, Custom Domain, Verify
✓ book.stillwater.studio verified, HTTPS on first visit

Hosting without the ops

  • Instant live link

Every published app gets https://<subdomain>.apps.appbricx.com straight away.

  • Custom domains

Point a CNAME at sites.appbricx.com; apex domains use an A record or a flattened CNAME.

  • Automatic HTTPS

Certificates are issued on the first HTTPS visit and renewed for you.

  • Preview and published

The preview follows your work; the published app changes only when you publish.

  • Several domains

A project can have several domains, and its apps.appbricx.com link keeps working.

  • Your cloud if needed

The same app can run in your own AWS, GCP, Azure or private network, operated for you.

Ten apps, each on its own link

Every showcase app is published to its own subdomain, such as stride.apps.appbricx.com, and works on phones and desktops. Sign in with the demo logins on the showcase page.

Hosting and domains: common questions

How do I add a custom domain?

Publish once, add the hostname in Settings, Custom Domain, create the DNS record it shows (usually a CNAME to sites.appbricx.com), then click Verify.

Is HTTPS included?

Yes. A certificate is issued on the first HTTPS visit to a verified domain, with nothing for you to manage.

Can I use an apex domain?

Yes. Use an A record to the IP shown in Settings, or an ALIAS or flattened CNAME to sites.appbricx.com.

Does every plan include custom domains?

Custom domains depend on your plan; the pricing page lists which plans include them.
