Google Cloud Storage

Upload, download, and list objects in Google Cloud Storage buckets. In Appbricx, your workflows and server functions call it by name once it is connected.

What you can do

12 actions, each one call from a workflow or a server function. Triggers come from your app: a row changing, a schedule or a webhook.

  • Clone Objectclone_object
    Copy / clone an object (file) to a new location (same or different bucket), optionally overriding metadata. Perfect for duplicating files as backup or version.
  • Create Bucketcreate_bucket
    Create a new bucket in a specified location/configuration. Perfect for automating storage provisioning for new projects.
  • Create Bucket ACLcreate_bucket_acl
    Add an ACL entry at bucket level. Perfect for granting permission to manage the bucket.
  • Create Bucket Default Object ACLcreate_bucket_default_object_acl
    Set default ACLs for new objects added to a bucket. Perfect for automatically assigning permissions to new uploads.
  • Create Object ACLcreate_object_acl
    Add an ACL entry to an object (grant a permission). Perfect for granting read/write access to a user or group.
  • Delete Bucket ACLdelete_bucket_acl
    Remove an ACL entry from a bucket. Perfect for revoking access for a user or group.
  • Delete Bucket Default Object ACLdelete_bucket_default_object_acl
    Remove default ACL settings from a bucket. Perfect for reverting to default behavior.
  • Delete Empty Bucketdelete_empty_bucket
    Clean up unused buckets by deleting them if they contain no live objects.
  • Delete Objectdelete_object
    Permanently delete a specific object. Perfect for removing obsolete files.
  • Delete Object ACLdelete_object_acl
    Remove an ACL entry from an object. Perfect for revoking access for a user.
  • Search Bucketssearch_buckets
    Search buckets by name. Perfect for finding buckets in your project.
  • Search Objectssearch_objects
    Search objects by criteria. Perfect for finding files in your bucket.

Set it up

About two minutes, once per project or once for the whole workspace.

  1. Open Integrations in the builder

    Backend panel, Integrations tab, then Google Cloud Storage. To connect it for every project, use Workspace settings, Integrations.

  2. Sign in to Google Cloud Storage

    You sign in to Google Cloud Storage and approve access. Appbricx keeps the tokens, encrypted, and refreshes them.

    • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/devstorage.full_control

    This uses an OAuth app: the platform's, or your own from the admin panel, and you can bring your own credentials.

  3. Call an action

    From a workflow, by integration id and action name. The call answers with success, output and, when it fails, the reason.

    Workflow
    // .workflow.js (native ctx)
    export async function run(ctx) {
      const res = await ctx.integrations.invoke("google_cloud_storage", "clone_object", {
        "projectId": "<projectId>",
        "sourceBucket": "<sourceBucket>",
        "sourceObject": "<sourceObject>",
        "destBucket": "<destBucket>",
        "destObject": "<destination object name>"
      });
      if (!res.success) throw new Error(res.error);
      ctx.log.info("Google Cloud Storage answered", { output: res.output });
    }
